Troubleshooting

Update first: several launch issues changed twice.

Hotfix 1 attempted to fix laptops choosing an integrated GPU. Hotfix 4 later marked improper iGPU selection on some laptops as fixed, and Hotfix 5 fixed a VRAM leak and added performance improvements.

Check the official floor first

Steam lists 8 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or better, and DirectX 12 as part of the minimum PC specification. Meeting that floor does not guarantee a published frame-rate target—the store does not provide one.

If the problem remains, collect a reproducible report

Confirm the build is newer than Hotfix 5 before relying on launch-day workarounds. Record your GPU model and driver, whether a laptop is using its integrated or dedicated GPU, Windows version, RAM and available VRAM, the current game/Hotfix version, solo or multiplayer state, location, and steps that reproduce the issue.

The official Early Access notice asks players to send feedback through the game's Discord or Steam Forums. The notes do not publish a universal manual fix, so this page does not prescribe registry, driver or save-file changes.
